How can my clients upload files from their computer to my
website? Do they need an FTP program to do so?

yes, but if you use the server extensions they'd be better of having Frontpage as
well, then they can upload whatever file(s) you require, without the server
extensions becoming corrupt, which can happen if using normal FTP programs

If you mean a user uploading a file....then the upload file component can do it,
providing your ISP has enabled this particular component on the server.

A sufficiently clued user could use the "web folders" component to upload
via WebDav. Though at that point might as well get them in using FrontPage.

The upload control is probably a better option. (It has a limitation of 1
meg upload though, so it depends on the files that are being added.)

If the files to be uploaded are under 1 MB, you could use the FP2002/2003 Upload component if hosted
on Windows IIS server with FP2002 extensions and the host allows it.

If the files to be uploaded are over 1 MB, then the best approach would be to ask your host if you
can have a anom. FTP access to a folder in your account to allow for uploads.
