Our sales team has been using Excel sheets to save customer details for a long time. It was working fine earlier, but now we have a large number of customers, and sharing their contact details with everyone has become a little difficult.
Recently, our sales manager asked us to make these contacts available on employees' mobile phones so they don't have to open Excel every time they need a customer's number or email address.
The problem is that we have hundreds of customer entries in Excel, and nobody really wants to spend days saving each contact manually. Some sheets also contain company names, email addresses, office numbers, and other details that we need to keep.
I was looking for a way to convert Excel contacts into VCF files and came across GainTools Address Book Manager. From what I found, it supports converting Excel XLS and XLSX files into vCard format without data loss. It is also compatible with batch conversion and data filtration options.
I'm thinking of trying it with a small Excel file first. Before going ahead, I just wanted to ask if anyone has used this software or converted a large customer list from Excel into VCF.
Did you face any problems with missing phone numbers or email addresses? Also, what's a better option for a sales team: keeping all customer contacts in one VCF file or creating separate files for different representatives?
Would really appreciate some suggestions from people who have done this before.
