how can the laptop inter standby mode when the outlook is online .

when outlook is online with the server the coputer dose not enter standby mode.
it enter the screen sever and then turn the screen off but it seems the
laptop keep cheking whith the main server so how could i stoped that in order
to let the lap top enter safly and according to the saving power setteing the
standby mode

Close Outlook before going into standby, hibernate, or closing down. It gets
fussy about this sort of thing.
