I have been trying to make my office files to atomatically open Help to a
specifc topic. I have looked all over and no one seems to know how to do
this.
I know it can be done because when you do the practice from
office.microsoft.com they are saved to my documents. When you open the file
directly from windows explorer the file opens but also the instructions for
the practice.
The only thing that I found odd about the files is that when you open one of
these files then go under File -Properties - Custom tab there is a special
property called _MsoHelpTopicID. The value for the property refers to the
AssetID on the office.microsoft.com web site. It seems to be used by the
ActiveX control IEAWSDC.DLL that is under Program Files\Microsoft
Office\OFFICE11.
I'm trying to figure this out so I can make custom lessons for my students.
I like the ones from the site but they don't cover everything. If anyone
could help it whould be much appreciated. Any other suggestions whould also
be appreciated.
