How can you make the milestone appear as a long colored bar line?

I have been trying to edit the bar style in the gantt chart for the milestone
I created. I am using Microsoft 2007. I want the Milestone to stand out to
show as a long bar line color coded in green..

bo,
Just for reference, by definition a milestone is a point in time. It has
no duration (i.e. time span).

Nonetheless my guess as to why you're having trouble creating a Gantt
bar for a milestone is that the milestone has zero duration. Give it a
duration and then you will be able to build the long green Gantt bar you
want.

Hope this helps.

Bo,

Perhaps you've seen the long bar following milestones is some
views -- for example the Detail Gantt or the Leveling Gantt. The
teal colored bar following tasks is actual the slack. Apply the
Detail or Leveling Gantt chart and then look at the bar styles
through Format > Bar Styles. Take a look at the "Slack" bar to see
the bar definition. You can then create that bar definition in your
view as needed.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
