How comes not every part of a letter gets fat if I push the B?

When i want to make the i fat, or the r fat, not all of the letter becomes
fat. I am using Word 2000 on a Windows XP machine. The same error occurs when
I use wordpad.

Hi Robert
If by "fat" you mean bold, the way a character bolds depends on the font you
use, and how the original font designer wanted it to look. Also, you get
different results in a serif font (e.g. Times New Roman) than you do in a
sans serif font (e.g. Arial).

And if you just want to make the text wider, try the scaling option in
Format | Font | Character Spacing.
