how delete a large message that has already begun sending & now i.

I went to send a message with a numbers of attached and didn;t realise how
big the message was until the message got blocked and now is unable to send
and is just sitting in my outbox. How can I delete it? when I pres delete
Outlook tells me that it can't delete because it has already begun sending
the message... can anyone help?>
