How do I access an XK file that is "frozen?"

I wa click and dragging a file from folder to folder when suddenly it froze
in place. When tring to MOVE it, I get the following message, "Cannot move
file. Access
is denied. Make sure the disc is not full or write-protected and the file is
no in use."

When I try to OPEN the file, I get a series of error Messages,
1. "Cannot access file. The document may be read-only or incripted." I
click on "OK" and get message #
2. "Cannot access file." I click on "OK" and get message #
3. "Cannot access file. Access is denied. Make sure the disc is not write
protected and the file is not currently in use."
That's as far as I can get.
The file is not write-protected or encrypted or on a disc. It's on the hard
drive and is a file I use every day. Whats wrong?????

What is an XK file? Are you trying to open the file by double-clicking
on it in Windows Explorer or My Computer, or by using the File->Open
dialog in whatever application you created the XK file in? What does
any of this have to do with Microsoft Office, which is what this
newsgroup supports?

Sorry Garfield- I meant XL as in Excel. I'm trying to open it by double
clicking in in My Documents in Windows.
