how do I access the second column when working in word?

I have two columns up in word...how do I access the second column?

The Columns feature in Word provides *newspaper* style columns, so as you
fill the first column you automatically flow to the top of the next. If you
intend to stop at a certain point in a column then move to the next column
you can insert a Column Break [Insert> Break> Column Break].

However, if you're trying to put content in the second column which
correlates with content in the first column you're better off using a 2
column table instead of newspaper columns. The table can be formatted to
have no borders visible.
