How do I achieve a mastery of linking techniques

J

Judy

I have replied to a classified ad/position that has this statement in it.

"Needs to have an outstanding command of Microsoft Word and Excel, including
a mastery of linking techniques."

Could someone point me to a help area or training segment that gives
information about linking techniques please?

I'm assuming they are linking documents within the two programs they have
mentioned.

Thank you.

This is neither a Word, nor an Excel newsgroup. This is an Access
newsgroup. Have you tried reading the help files? Or searching for
Knowledge Base Kernels on the Microsoft website?

I gues you can check Word Help on MailMerge using an Excel spreadsheet as
the DataSource.

The more advanced "linking" technique is to use Automation (coding). Check
both Excel and Word on "Automation".
