I have tried to use reply to answer this but it just faults out. So I’m
posting it as a new Q.
I'm asuming you mean Word 2007
Answer: one way is to use ‘insert Table’ from the Insert Ribbon, then type
your paragraph into it and then right click it and select ‘borders and
shading’.
You can keep typing outside the table and you can resize the table as needed.
