how do I add a domain that isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts

I am using Outlook XP and receiving an error message when sending an email to
a trusted contact... "domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts". Where
can I change this list?

Have you tried configuring the e-mail account to authenticate to the
SMTP mail server? Sounds like you are attempting to use an SMTP server
that is *not* on the domain you connect to for Internet access; i.e.,
you connect to domain-A but you are attempting to use a mail server on
domain-B. ISPs often bar that to prevent spam abuse; i.e., they won't
permit SMTP traffic to cross their network to someone else's network, or
they won't accept SMTP traffic that originated from off their own
network. Sometimes [SMTP] authentication eliminates the problem (for
the latter case mentioned).
