How do I add a drop down box within a drop down box?

I tried to use indents to show sub-choices, but the indents don't show up in
the validation box. Using Excel 2003.

hi
i am not aware that you can do that. but as an alternative you might try
dependent dropdowns sometimes called cascading combos.
you didn't say if you were using data validation, sheet combos or form
combos(they are all drop downs) so i'll guess data validations. see this site
