How do I add a Flash Intro

M

Mike

I have Frontpage 2003 and Macromedia Flash MX. I know how to create a web
site in Frontpage and I know (sorta) how to create a flash movie (and export
it to .swf and .html) files. But, what I can't quite figure out is how to
turn the flash movie into a flash intro for my website. What EXACTLY do I
need to do with the flash files in Frontpage to create the flash intro that
will lead into the main site?
Thanks...
Mike

1) which file do I insert, .swf or .html?
1) and where do I insert it? Should it be the only thing on my index.htm
file? Is that what makes it an intro?

Import your SWF file into your Web site and then use Flasher to set all of
the Flash options from right within FrontPage!

Free Flasher FP addin available from: http://www.jimcoaddins.com/addins.aspx

Ok, I will try that tonight. But, just for my own curiosity - if I did not
have this Flasher add-in, how else would you do it using just FP?

Import your SWF file into your Web site and then use Flasher to set all of

Compatible with:

FrontPage 2000 FrontPage 2002 FrontPage 2003

And it is FREE

1) In Flasher, it asks for the height and width of the intro movie. How do I
set it to be full screen no matter what resolution display it is running on?

2) How do I launch into the main web site after the intro plays?

Thanks...

That should be done in your Flash file before the fla is exported to swf.
BTW, you can also import the whole package exported from Flash and then
simply edit the HTML file in FrontPage.
