How do I add advertising to my website in Publisher?

My website is off-center to the left. However that gives me room for ads but
I would like to have a vertical line seperating my content from the ads. Any
suggestions?

Publisher creates a specific width and then left justifies it. It is unable
to add content to either side. There is a way to center your site by adding
html code. List the Publisher version you created your site with and someone
here will provide the steps to center your website.

Hi Don,

I am running 2003 SP3. Do you know if I can have a vertical line on either
side to
separate text from ads?

Thanks,

Put the ads in a table, apply a border to one side.

I think you might be misunderstanding. If you are using one of the default
settings for page width for Pub 2003, then your page is 760 pixels wide. You
can layout your working page any way you want to, but it all has to fit on
your 760 pixel page and when you view it is still going to be left justified
in the browser window. If the browser window is wider than 760 pixels then
you are going to have 'white space' to the right of your page.

space):

mjrdude,

The way I add vertical lines, one on each side of the page is, select the
line tool and draw it down the vertical width lines on the work area.

This site http://www.iinet.com/~osia1294/ is what vertical lines will look
like.

Your ads will need to be within the work area of the webpage.

Thanks to "Spike" who has given us this:

The fix to center pages using publisher 2002 through 2007
Publish to your hard drive
Edit the htm file(s) and replace </head> with

</head><table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="2"
width="760"align="center"><tr><td>
(All on one line)

If you are using a page width different than 760 pixels change that number
in the above line

If you have multiple pages you might want to look at
<http://www.emurasoft.com/replall/> a simple replace lines in multiple htm
files

Then ftp the files to your ISP

=====================================================
The above fix will need to be done after each editing of the website. You
best handle the situation by getting the ReplaceInFiles program and then the
fix is easy to accomplish with a couple of mouse clicks after editing.
