First of all, what versions of Office and Outlook are you talking about? If
you upgraded a prior version of Office, is your Outlook Address Book service
installed? If you tell us the version, we can tell you how to determine
it.

| I added Microsoft Outlook to my computer after I added Microsoft
| Office. I imported my contacts folder into Outlook. I tried to use
| an address from my contact file but I do not have an "insert address"
| icon/button in Office. Do I have to reinstall Office or is there
| some feature I have to turn on or off in the Office settings?

I am using Office 2003 (11.6568.6568) SP 2 and Outlook Express version 6.00.2900.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158). I installed office 2003 on a new machine with no upgrade. Outlook expresss came with the machine. I used to have Outlook 2000 SR-1 (9.0.0.3821) and Office 2000 (9.0.3821 SR-1) on my old machine.

I couldn't get Outlook to install by itself, it removed Word & Excel. I finally gave up, uninstalled the whole Office mess, re-installed all the components together and this fixed the problem. Thanks for your help.
