How do I add captions to pictures in MS Office picture manager?

I'm trying to make a slide show with captions on each picture. How do I add
captions?
I'm using MS Office picture manager.

What program are you using to make the slide show? That probably has some
sort of a text function.

Try PowerPoint instead.

Insert, Picture, New Photo Album (in 2003)

Insert tab, Illustrations group, Photo Album (in 2007)
