How do I add color to a font set?

I have downloaded several "fun" fonts. One of them is called Patchwork. I
would like to be able to color in the patches and the letters on the fonts.
On the web-side that I downloaded this font from it was shown in color and
that is the way I wanted to use it. I am making signs for our church
nursery. I don't know how to make the font show up as anything other than
all one color. Is this possible to do?

No, not in Publisher.

If you use a draw program such as CorelDraw, you can convert the text to
curves and break it apart, but it's still not easy to colour in the various
patches in fonts, especially if you are unfamiliar with vector graphic
editing.
