How do I add new symbols to the MS Office Symbols

D

Dan Vetter

I need to use symbols within a table to show progress from start to
completion. I'd like to use symbols similar to those used in baseball that
show progress around the bases from 1st to 2nd to 3rd, and then home. I
cannot find anything in the 2007 MS symbols set that works. I created a
simple set of symbols with the drawing tools. Is there a way to make these
part of the MS Office character/symbol set. I want them to become part of
the table content so that they will stay in the correct table rows, even if
the row is cut and moved to a new location.

Any help appreciated....maybe someone knows where I can find the symbols:
1/4 circle, 1/2 circle, 3/4 circle, full circle....

Thanks,

Dan

The big Unicode fonts, Arial Unicode, Lucida Sans Unicode, and MS Mincho,
contain these characters. To insert one of them, type the hexadecimal code
in the document and press Alt+X:

25D4 1/4 circle
25D1 1/2 circle
25D5 3/4 circle
25CF full circle
25CB empty circle
