I would not play around with publisher, it's freaky with HTML.
I suggest you download cutePDF, convert it, and create a hyperlink to it.
Then anyone with Adobe Reader can open it, save it, etc.

No it won't. You need to convert the publisher doc to html - but it won't do
this easily or very well - the functionality to export to html is there, but the
code it produces comes off second-best to Frontpage's code.

Best thing is not to design anything in Publisher that you intend to put on the
web, as Publisher is for print media and always was intended for that, else
they'd have made the transition to web pages better if MS decided it was worth
while.

People will need Publish to display the document, and of course, not everyone
will have it. There is no "viewer" as such (like say, PDF files and Adobe
reader - there is no equivalent for PUblisher files, except the full
application.).

It would be handy if there was, but there isn't.

so.....can Publisher files be converted to PDF's - that is good to know, and good
for future advice to other readers of this NG - this Publisher Vs Frontpage
question comes up quite often.

Is cutePDF from the makers of cuteFTP? - availble on www.tucows.com?

If you already have the document convert to HTML via Publisher and you do not need to make any
changes, just import the page and folder created by Publisher into a folder within your current open
FP web, then link to the page.
