How do I adjust # of docs in start menu?

When I click "start" my document option only lists the last document I used
and when I reboot the next day the document list is empty. I know I can have
more docs listed (I do at other computers) and that they can still be
accessible the next day. Where do I go to change these options?

Thank you for your suggestion. Where is applications on the desktop in the
start bar? I can adjust the # of docs listed when I am in a program, i.e.
Word, but not on the desktop which lists all docs recently used in all
programs. Diane

That would be set for the Operating System, not Office. Are you using
some "privacy" software? That would erase the files listing. Further
queries should be posted to the group dealing with the operating system
you are using.
