How do I adjust the length of time I can type in Microsoft Word?

[Need more time to type in microsoft word]

My system is only allowing me to type for about 3-5 mintues and then it
closes my page and I loose all my text. If I am writing a letter I can only
get to the half way point before the letter is eliminated.

Can you help? What do I need to adjust in order to have more time for typing
on my Microsoft Word? Thank you.

What version of Word? Has it been activated? Is there any message
displayed? Is it just Word that shuts down, or you computer?
