How do I allow someone to turn sound on or off on a web page?

I use a background midi file that plays music while someone is reading a web
page (there is a different midi file on each page). I would like to provide
the ability to have the reader turn off the sound or turn it back on if he
wants to hear it again.

Create a page without the annoying music and link to it. Also create a
link back.

I should have explained the situation better. The music is one of the hymns
in the weekly bulletin which most people like to listen to. Some people,
however, would rather read a bulletin without listening to the music. I have
a menu page with no music which lists the bulletins that are available. What
do I need to put on the menu page to give the user the ability select whether
or not he wants music when he goes to a bulletin. And what do I put on the
bulletin page to enable or disable the music?

You either have music on or off. There is no switch
available. What you could do is is have all of your
bulletins only, and use that as an in included page on 2
full pages, 1 with and 1 without the music.

Thank you, Mike. I was hoping I could do it with a switch, but I will do as
you suggest with two pages.

I have a similar "issue" with several pages for my church (Children's
music). So, for that particular group of pages, I use frames. The top
contains the information for each page. The bottom has buttons to turn
on/off the music, next/previous track, etc. Works fine for me there.
Probably better ways to do it, and I know the MVPs (who I respect) dislike
frames <vbg>, but I'm lazy at times.
