How do I apply the junk e-mail filter to existing email?

I've already got about 10000 emails that I didn't filter from Outlook XP and
have upgraded to the Outlook 2003 Client. Now I want the Outlook 2003
Client to filter those 10000 emails for SPAM. But it seems like it can only
be applied to incoming mail? Is there a way to do this or a 3rd party tool I
can use to "wash" my email of spam?

To the best of my knowledge, there is no way to filter for those message
unless you use Exchange server and configure outlook for cache mode.

Thanks for your response. Does Outlook 2003 have a "bounce/redirect"
feature? Could i mass redirect the emails back to myself so they come into
my inbox again? I know Eudora has such a feature as well as many other
clients.

No, it does not. It seems like a lot of work for 10,000 messages. I'd set up
some rules to filter for keywords or messages not sent to me etc and use
"Run Rules Now" - a well crafted rule can get rid of a lot of the spam.
