How do I attach the values of cells to the data of a different ro.

I have a spreadsheet that tracks hundreds of orders. I need to attach data
from several cells to a different row. When I sort the spreadsheet, I only
want to sort off the value from the one row.

Not quite sure what you mean, but if you want data from, say, A1 to appear in
K22, in K22 you use the formula =A1.

Hi Myrna,

Sorry for not being more clear. In the spreadsheet each order is entered on
a row. However, there are additional rows under each order row that provide
order details. If I do a standard sort, the rows under the order row do not
stay grouped together. Please see the text below as an example. I need to
keep the details under the order with the row that will be sorted by state?

Fill in the blank cells in Order Number and/or Customer column(s) with the

Select Order # column and F5>Special>Blanks.

In active cell enter an = sign then point to cell above and CRTL + ENTER
