How do I automatically number shapes in Visio?

I want to give each shape in Visio (2007) an automatic number for reference.
How do I do that ? Can anyone help please?

menu -> Tools -> Addons -> Visio Extras -> Number Shapes

Thanks. Need to realy learn how to use this programme.

Please may I ask you anoher question? Can I position the number where I
whant it or do I have to accept where it at the top of the blck?

When the addon starts it presents you with a dialog, the Advanced tab
offers various options for locating the number.
