How do I avoid autofilling of numbers as you tab across fields?

I was wondering if there's a setting I can change that will keep Access from
autofilling in numbers as I tab across fields? For instance, if I tab across
5 fields entering the numbers 1, then 1, then 2, then 3...in the fifth field
it automatically enters 4 and if I tab again the 4 remains...thus I am aften
accidentally auto-entering numbers, where I would prefer the field to stay
blank. Thoughts?

enter your data in a form bound to the table, not directly into the table.
