How do I backup all Office 2007 settings on a Windows XP computer

In office 2003 there was a very nice wizard for this.

How do I do this in Office 2007?

Why did they remove it anyway? It's not very userfriendly.

thnx, Thomas

Hi Marcis,

I've looked at their website - and what I see is a program to backup all
sorts of things.

But what I need to do is backup only the settings, registry, and everything
else what has to do with Office. So nothing else.

I don't want to backup the complete registry, and I certainly dont want to
search for myself which registrykeys need to be backupped.

That's why I was so happy with the wizard in Office 2003. 5 clicks. and
aafter a reinstall of the os and office, another 5 clicks. and everything is
back, except for passwords.

I'm gonna give the program a try, but i'm afraid it's a bit like shooting a
cannon to hit a fly.

Thanks for the effort though.

Have a look at the User State Migration Tool: It appears to be have similar
functions to the Office 2003 Save My Settings Wizard. never used it
myself...
