how do I cancel a task on a project?

Hi - I have a project which has several 'exemplars' within it. One of the
ememplars has now been cancelled. How can I indicate this without deleting
the task?

You could set all the work on it to zero and mark it 100% complete. I
wonder why you don't want to delete it since it is no longer part of the
Project. It certainly doesn't form part of the plan any more.

Thanks - I'll do that. I don't want to delete it because I use the plan as a
communications tool and I want everyone to be reminded that it is
cancelled/no longer part of the project.
