How do I cancel sending read receipts?

We had an issue whereby an email was sent via two servers that bounced it
backwards and forwards between themselves so we received this email around
4000 times.
I deleted these but was prompted for read receipts, I clicked No to All when
I was prompted but when I hit Shift+Del was not prompted. It now appears
that I am sending 836 emails which I am assuming are read receipts for some
of these emails. It generally gets to sending 70-ish of 800 then freezes and
when I reopen Outlook it is again sending over 800 emails. Is there a way to
delete these emails?

Since read receipts are hidden objects in the Outbox, there is no means
for the user to delete them (yeah, great idea by Microsoft to hide
outbound messages that are pending). Outlook Spy lets you dig into the
objects in Outlook and will let you delete them.
