How do I change a default dictionary 'Engish. U.S.' to 'Eng. AUS'.

I've tried changing the default word in dictionary to englsh AUS but it stll
keeps the U.S. version aswell. Every time I open up a new document the U.S.
dictionary becomes the default. Please can someone help with some
suggestions.
