How do I change a key to type what is printed on it e.g. @ = "

I have just taken delivery of a new keyboard and the @ signs types in " and
the " sign types in @ how can I change this around Please I am using
Microsoft Office on Microsoft XP

Go to Start - Settings - Control Panel - Regional and Language - 'Languages'
tab - 'Details' button..

Add and make default 'English UK'.. this might take two attempts.. one to
change, and the other to make it stick..
