How do I change a Section Title background color?

Does anyone know how to change the Section Title background color in Word? I
am using a template that uses section titles but I am unable to locate how to
change the color.

Sounds like the color is embedded in the style. Select Format-Reveal
Formatting and check the formatting of the Paragraph. There is a drop-down
box in that menu that offers various colors. Change to whatever color you
want, or no color at all. When you "Apply" the modified style it should
change all section titles.
