I need to change a page layout to A3 size in a Word 2007 document.
How do I achieve this?

You can't. The maximum page size is 22x22 inches, or approximately
57x57 cm.

Sorry, my fault; I miscalculated. :)

Go to Page Layout -> Size -> More paper sizes -> select Custom size
and enter the correct values.

You can only achieve it if the active printer is capable of printing to A3.
Install the driver for the printer it will be printed upon (or if you have
Acrobat set that as the active driver). Word will only offer formatting that
the active printer driver allows.
