How do I change an e-mails status, to display unread longer?

I know that I can change the time in seconds for an e-mail to displays as
unread in Outlook, before it displays itself as read.
I did it before, but I forgot how.
Anyone has an answer for my question out there?

You don't say which version you use, so these instructions are approximate:

Tools > Options > Other > Preview Pane

You can change the time there.
