How do I change line spacing (when line spacing tool doesn't work.

My Word documents are defaulting to multiple line spacing (half a page or
more between lines). When I go into the line spacing / paragraph menu, it's
already set to 'Single' however this is not the case. If I change it, it
still creates multiple lines. Please help!

Hi Cindy,

Look in File > Page Setup on the Layout tab. Make sure the Vertical
Alignment box is set to Top -- it sounds like it's now set to Justified.
