how do i change my page from portrait to landscape befor I begin

I need to work on a new project and before i begin i need the page to be in
landscape and i don't know how to change it

File | Page Setup. On the Margins tab, click Landscape.

An easy way to get to Page Setup is to double-click the ruler.
