How do I change the defaut view to list when opening templates?

When I open my templates folder, using File New (On my computer) my templates
are show as large icons, I want this folder always to open using the list
feature.

This is not possible except (perhaps) with VBA.

I would like this too - I tried recording a macro but it didn't work!
