How do I change the new "blank document" template?

My son download a file and saved it. He thought he saved it to his personal
folder, however, now it is located as my "blank document". When I open up
word, his document appears and when I click on File, New, Blank Document, it
shows up. How can I erase it? I have tried to uninstall and reinstall Word
with no luck. Thanks
