How do i clear out saved address's in my TO section when I write

Hello- Whenever I start a new e-mail - it has a bunch of old contacts saved.
It's not saving my new contacts. so when I go to type an address - the
dropdown box shows all old address. Does anyone know how to clear those
address out. They aren't saved in my contacts folder- they are just random
e-mail address's I've e-mailed. Does that make sence??

use the down arrow key to highlight and then press "delete" on each of the
incorrect addresses...
