How do I combine e-mails?

I have heard there is a way to "stack" or "compress" several related e-mails
into one. The system will combine them automatically by you telling it to do
so.

Some mail clients, like Outlook Express or Xnews, will combine attachments
sent as multiple maiol messages. Outlook, however, won't.
