Sorry, but this is a little too cryptic!
First, are you talking about Access (the database product that's part of
Office Professional)? If not, you'll need to ask in a newsgroup related to
whatever product you're using.
Second, where are you typing the value: into a field in a table, a field in
a query, a control on a form, etc.?
Third, what's the exact error message?

more specific about where you are entering the data? Also, what is the
