How do I compress my power point presentation?

I have tried compressing my pictures within Power Point, sometimes I am
successful and sometimes it won't work. I believe I am repeating the same
process. When I finish the presentation and click on one of my pics and tell
it to compress all pics within document, sometimes it will compress and
sometimes it won't. It seems like PP isn't recognizing the images within PP
as pictures. I don't know please help!! Oh yea, I have check the properties
of the pictures and to the best of my knowledge they are JPGs.

What makes you think it's not compressing?
