How do I config my pc to surf better

I recently got dsl and at first it worked fine. so I threw in zone alarm and
something happend. Now when I use the net is all slow and crazy. then my
roomate changed some of the other configs in propeties tab. Im totally lost

well you shouldn't be in this newsgroup because no one
knows here either. But here is a tip. uninstall zone
alarm. and use The firewall in Xp you should be fine.
