How do I continue a macro?

I included a pause in a macro I created, and then did what I had to do -- in
this case highlighting what needed to be highlighted -- and hit "resume,"
finished the macro and stopped the recording. When I operate the macro, I
get as far as the pause, but don't know how to get the macro to finish its
business. What's the answer? Thanks.
