How do I convert a two-part, black logo into two separate colors..

I have created a flyer/mailer for my small business. My company's logo are
the two block letters 'C' (gold) and 'G' (Blue). I have the graphic saved in
my clip arts. Up to now, I can only convert both letters to either all gold
or all navy, but not two the two separate colors on the same page. Can
anyone help!

Hey Rebell,
From what I've discovered (if the logo isn't too complicated), highlight
your 'placed' logo, go to the 'Arrange' tab at the top of the screen and
'Ungroup' the logo. Once it's ungrouped, you should be able to assign each
piece whatever color you want. It worked for me and I was dealing with an EPS
logo... would think it might work with clipart as well. Hope this helps you
out!

As long as the format is a vector, Publisher can ungroup and re-color. If you
are dealing with a bitmap, an editing program is your only solution.

Well, I attempted to follow your instructions, but when I go to the 'Arrange'
dropdown, the selections 'group', 'regroup', and 'ungroup' are unselectable,
i.e., not highlighted.

Appreciate your response Mary, but I am a little slow in understanding what
to do. First of all, I am looking at my base Publisher Page with my two-part,
all-black logo 'staring' at me - would it be possible to 'walk' me through
the steps? nThank you for your reply (and interest).

If you have selected the object and the ungroup is dimmed, the logo is a bitmap
(.jpg, .tif, etc.)
You will have to take the logo into an editing program to change its colors.

You can send it to me and I will give it a go.
