how do i convert a word document to excel

I have a document that was typed in word that contains figures which i need
to recalculate. How do i convert this table from word to excel so that i can
recalculate the figures?

Save AS a txt file and then open in Excel.

You can copy the table in Word, switch to Excel, and paste the copied table.
