How do I convert Access 2000 to network version?

I have large home. I use computers in different rooms over network fo
just myself. Now, I have a wife and we both use my "peer to peer
network. I have one XP professional computer and three Windows 98S
workstations running off a Windows 98SE server which is never used as
workstation.

I have used Microsoft Access 2000 (9.0.2720) for just myself. Now, m
wife is working with me and we need to use Access simultaneously. Wha
do we do to accomplish this flexibility? What software, is it availabl
still and is it worth the effort? 6+ months is a long time, bu
necessary. Thanks for your help!

(PS: We are holding out another 6+ months to let MS Vista operatin
system mature before we upgrade to better computers and lates
Microsoft Office.

Not really sure what specifically you are asking about. Access is multi-user.
You don't need to do much to allow multiple people to access the same
database. You should split your application into a front-end and back-end.

Thanks Duane. I just opened access and it worked. I just discovere
that it does not work when one of the workstations *is* in "desig
view" or *was* in design view (...even, without closing and openin
program). I pretty much know this program, but working alone, I hav
never needed to understand splitting! Thanks very much. You saved m
continuing to search for a networkable version
