How do I convert OLD Windwos ME php files to open in XP?

Gettin' Too Old

I have a bunch of old files that I burned on a CD to install in my new
computer. My old one had Windows ME, this one has XP. I had installed
Microsoft PictureIt with the Microsoft 2000 Office installation on the old
computer, & now when I try to open those files, none of them will open. They
have some important stuff on them!
When I tried to install the program on my new computer, it wouldn't let me -
kept messing up & assume it was not designed to work on XP. HELP, please!
How can I open these files & save them on my new computer? (In SIMPLE terms,
please! - I am NOT a computer guru!!) I have installed PictureIt! Express
version 7.0 on my new computer (got it with purchase of photo paper), but
cannot open the files with it, either. Thanks for any help! I am "Gettin'
Too Old" I guess!

The extension "php" has a number of uses. If the *.php files were created
with Picture It, likely they are project files. Not sure if Picture It
Express, since it is lite version, will open the files. You may want to post
your problem in the Picture It newsgroup which also covers the old Picture
It Publisher: microsoft.public.pictureit.
