How do I convert Project 2007 document to open in Project 2003?

I have a document created using Project 2007. I wish to convert that to MS
Project Professional 2003. Is here any useful or easy way to do the same,
without asking the creator to save the file in Project 2003 format... :)

I am not aware of any add in for P2003 that will allow it to open a P2007 file.

You will need to have someone open the file in 2007 and save as a 2003 file.
If you do not want to ask your customer, you can send it to jeaksel (at)
yahoo (dot) com.

What will you do next month?

I received a 2003 file, edited it in 2007 then saved it as a 2003 file
(supposedly). When I tried to open in 2007 I got an error message stating I
was trying to open a file created with a newer version of MSP. So, does 2007
not save files in 2003 format?

Hello RDU,

I'm a bit confused. I assume you meant that you tried to open the
project file in *2003* and got the message about a newer version? I
have had no difficulty with project files created in Project 2003,
opened in Project 2007, saved as 2003 and then re-opened in Project
2003. There have been some reports of problems with password protected
files.

What service pack of Project 2003 are you running?

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Hi Julie--

After posting this I tried again & it worked. I guess we can chalk this up
to user error!

Thanks.
